The active ingredient in Grünwalder Sennalax^® is a high quality, concentrated extract of senna pods. This medicine, made using modern production principles, contains all the essential active substances of the senna fruits (pods) which have a safer and milder effect than the leaves. The pods used as source material and the finished extract are subject to the strict rules of quality standards for modern medicines.

During the production process the level of active ingredient is kept constant so that good effectiveness is maintained. This effectiveness is due to the dual action of the relevant active ingredients:
